March 26, 2019

Dear Mustang Families,

On Wednesday, March 20, we conducted our First 12 Minutes workshop with students. The workshop detailed the key components of the ALICE protocol for the First 12 Minutes Program as followed:

Teachers identified students in need of additional support and counselors have been notified.

Preparation for tomorrow's (March 27) First 12 Minutes drill at 9:30 a.m.

Students will only drill on the lockdown and barricade portion of the First 12 Minutes. This will include teachers directing students to move furniture in front of classroom door entrances. The workshop conducted last week prepared our students for the expectations of the drill tomorrow.  Teachers and administrators were able to answer questions and concerns from students. The entire student services team will also be available during tomorrow's drill.

Thank you for your continued support as we empower our teachers and students with the new First 12 Minutes protocol.

Please let me know if you have any questions.

Sincerely,

Matt Hills
Principal
